This variety was breed by Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station in 1987 has strong tree vigor, with round and bigger leaves which makes it more adaptive to different environments, allowing for higher yields. This variety is also perfect for making Paochong, Black tea and Oolong tea. In addition, Lugu district boasts most delicate baking techniques in Taiwan. Medium fermented and roasted production processes help this variety display its sweetness and strengths to the extreme. The tea leaves of Ice Peak Mountain Golden Lily Oolong are tight ball shaped.
